Making its appearance in 2007, ST Classifieds (previously known as ST701 Shops) has grown rapidly to become a leading classifieds portal trusted by many.
Starting out as one of four diverse verticals under the ST701 brand (ST701 Shops, ST701 Jobs, ST701 Property and ST701 Cars), ST Classifieds was a unique collaboration of General Classifieds, Directory and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) services.
The site is now an extension of our print Classifieds marketplace, showcasing the past seven days’ worth of Classifieds material spanning over 300 classifications. Buyers now have more ways to access our comprehensive services, while our print Classifieds advertisers can now extend their reach across multiple devices on the web.

October 7, 1969Classified Advertisements Telephone Service ( C.A.T.S ) was born.
March 24, 2006ST701 launched as the online presence of CATS Classified.
September 18, 2007ST701 verticals launched. The full range of classified products and services, established in print, now available online.
November 15, 2010Directory listings and SEM services launched.
June 29, 2012ST Classifieds launched, replacing ST701 Shops as the general classifieds portal of SPH.
November 1, 2017ST Classifieds is now an extension of the print edition of The Straits Times’ Classifieds.
